Make a Waste Space a Play Space
This photograph captures some unusually elegant graffiti. The words ‘Make a Waste Space a Play Space’ have been written on the walls of the condemned house in art nouveau style.
It’s also a reminder of the struggle to control urban spaces. Demolishing a building usually provides space for something new — but there are often competing claims about what new should replace the old.

NB. This post originallty stated that the building was pending demolition. A commenter on Twitter helpfully noted that the building had already been demolished.
